Vue du Nord Pinot Noir
Wine
Pike & Joyce Vue du Nord Pinot Noir is named after the French for 'northern view'. On the winery's Lenswood vineyard, the north or north-east facing Pinot Noir blocks are the ones that excel.
The grapes are wild yeast fermented in small open vats with various level of whole bunches. After pressing, the wine matures on lees for 10-12 months in French oak barrels. Racking occurs prior to blending and bottling.
Light red, Pike & Joyce Vue du Nord Pinot Noir has supple red fruit flavours with a savoury edge and a vibrant line of acidity. Cellaring potential is four years.
